WVU Extension Service is recruiting for
Cabell County 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent: Based in Ona WV Position Closing Date: August 31, 2016 The incumbent is primarily responsible for conducting WVU Extension programming in the area of 4-H Youth Development. Will also support a variety of cross county/cross-program center arrangements in the performance of teaching, research, and service. This is a 12-month, full-time, tenure-track, instructor-level faculty position. Areas of significant contribution in teaching and service with a reasonable contribution in research. Master’s degree required.
Lincoln County 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent: Based in Hamlin WV Position Closing Date: August 31, 2016 The incumbent is primarily responsible for conducting WVU Extension programming in the area of 4-H Youth Development. Also will support a variety of cross county/cross-program center arrangements in the performance of teaching, research, and service. This is a 12-month, full-time, tenure-track, instructor-level faculty position. Areas of significant contribution in teaching and service with a reasonable contribution in research. Master’s degree required.
Wayne County Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent position: Based in Wayne WV Position Closing Date: August 31, 2016 The incumbent is responsible for developing and maintaining an Extension education program in agriculture and natural resources and support a variety of cross county/cross-program center arrangements in the performance of teaching, research, and service. This is a 12-month, full-time, tenure-track, instructor-level faculty position. Areas of significant contribution in teaching and service with a reasonable contribution in research. Master’s degree required.
Extension Specialist/Assistant Professor – Curriculum: Based in Morgantown, WV Position Closing Date: September 7, 2016 Provide leadership for the 4-H project system including review and selection of projects, training volunteers and faculty on the offerings and their delivery, and evaluation of learning outcomes. This is a 12 month, full time, tenure track, faculty position. Areas of significant contribution in teaching and research with a reasonable contribution in service. Doctoral degree preferred and master’s degree required.
Program Director/Faculty – Families and Health: Based in Morgantown, WV Screening will begin September 12, 2016 The Families & Health (F&H) program unit director will join a dynamic administrative team and help shape the next 100 years of Extension work in West Virginia. The program unit director will provide active leadership and mentoring for the unit’s teaching, research, and service missions and to serve as the state program leader for Family and Consumer Sciences, as well as the Director for West Virginia University Extension’s Family Nutrition Program. The Families & Health Unit strives to improve the overall wellness of West Virginians through relevant, research-based programs resulting in behavior change and enhanced quality of life for individuals, families and communities.
Doctoral degree in related discipline is desirable. May substitute Master’s degree plus five years leadership experience. Experience at the county level is desirable.

Program Director/Faculty – Agriculture and Natural Resources: Based in Morgantown WV Screening will begin September 12, 2016 The Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) program unit director will join a dynamic administrative team and help shape the next 100 years of Extension work in West Virginia. The program unit director will provide active leadership and mentoring for the unit’s teaching, research, and service missions and to serve as the state program leader for agriculture and natural resources. The primary mission of the ANR Unit is to assist owners and users of West Virginia’s natural resources to gain competitive social and economic benefits from these resources. Through research and experience-based information, ANR will empower the stewards and users of West Virginia landscapes to manage the agriculture, forests, water, soil, wildlife, and other natural resources in a sustainable manner that will satisfy the needs of current and future generations. The unit includes the Small Farms Center, the Appalachian Hardwood Center, and the WVU Plant Diagnostic Clinic.

Director of Development/Non Classified position and part of WVU Extension’s administrative team: Based in Morgantown. Screening will begin September 6, 2016 The Director will manage all aspects of the WVU Extension development program, including managing a comprehensive major gifts program to generate current gift revenue from individuals, corporations, and foundations, and deferred gift revenue from individuals. One full-time position will report to this position. Bachelor degree and a minimum of three years progressive experience in development with a history of successful major gift solicitations. Preference will be given to candidates with greater experience in development; experience in higher education; experience at a comprehensive university.
