The West Virginia Rural Water Association is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Training Specialist for its 2% HELP program. This position develops and conducts training sessions for water and wastewater operators around the state of West Virginia. The qualified applicant will work from home. Knowledge of the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Clean Water Act, the West Virginia Bureau for Public Health Rules and Regulations, West Virginia Department of Environmental Rules and Regulations and the Public Service Commission of West Virginia's Rules and Regulations are important. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Sciences or a related degree or at least ten years of experience working for a water system operating a water plant, a portion of which should be in chief operators position Holds a Class III or Class IV water operator license Demonstrate strong math skills Ability to travel extensively throughout the state and have overnight stays A reliable means of transportation Experience in public speaking Experience in developing curriculum and teaching that curriculum to students Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel Salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
