Position Available: Staff Accountant The Fayette County Commission will accept applications until 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 16th, 2018 to fill a full-time opening for the position of staff accountant for the Fayette County Commission under the supervision of the County Administrator. Duties shall include but are not limited to maintaining county financial funds and accounts, processing accounts payable and vouchers, performing daily data entry of all receipts and invoices for the separate County funds, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, and assisting in preparation of annual budget. Qualifications shall include but are not limited to graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in accounting, knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Governmental Accounting Standards Board Statements, ability to operate personal computer software programs, specifically Word and Excel, and to use mainframe software programs (AS/400) to compile reports and store data, strong oral and written communication skills, professional and courteous manner, and ability to deal amicably with the public, elected officeholders, and work in conjunction with other employees.
