is seeking the following full-time positions for our Beaver, WV office location.
Survey Field Technician
Working under the direction of the Survey Crew Chief, the Survey Technician will assist with various types of land surveying & mapping including ALTA & Boundary Surveys, Construction Stakeouts for various types of projects for both private & public clientele.
Qualifications:
• A high school diploma or its equivalent
• Previous experience as a survey technician is desired but is not required.
• The ability to work in a variety of climate conditions including hot and cold weather
• The ability to travel with the potential of being away from home.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Position requires the ability to carry approximately 25 pounds of survey equipment and the ability to stand or walk over rugged terrain for extended periods of time.
Survey Party Chief
The selected individual will be responsible for field crew(s) as well as the operation of survey equipment, taking data collection, performing calculations and working with clients on projects. Experience in ALTA, Construction Stakeout and Boundary Surveys is highly desired.
Essential duties, qualifications & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• 3 + years of field surveying experience. Experience in leading survey crews is highly desired.
• Surveying during construction including construction staking and preparing as-built drawing.
• Work with project managers to complete survey assignments.
• High School Diploma, or its equivalent, is required
• Experience with Trimble Survey Equipment is preferred
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Possess the ability to understand project schedules
• Position requires the ability to travel with the potential of being away from home.
• Candidate must be able to stand or walk over rugged terrain for extended periods of time.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Basic understanding of plan reading, math and geometry
•The ability to work in a variety of climate conditions including hot and cold weather is required.
CAD Technician Essential duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Process field crew survey data
• Maintain project point database files
• Prepare base survey mapping
• Produce drawings using computer assisted design/drafting equipment & software
• Revise and/or modify drawings as necessary
• Design of municipal and public works projects as well as private development
• Draft and assemble construction drawings with a focus on water, sewer, storm drainage, roads and grading
• Draft topographic mapping from points following standard protocols
• Prepare documents using AutoCad, Civil 3D. Microstation experience is highly desired.
• Conform to appropriate CAD Standards
Qualifications:
• Associates degree in drafting/design and/or equivalent combination of education and exp erie nce
• A minimum of two (2) years of applicable experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD or Civil 3D
• Possess the ability to work independently or collaboratively
• Strong communication and time management skillsills.
Materials Testing/Construction Inspection Technician The selected candidate will provide inspection services in the southern West Virginia and Southwestern Virginia areas. Applicant must be able to work with clients and contractors, prepare field & lab inspection and testing reports and provide technical support for construction quality control. Working conditions for this position include working outside, in all types of weather conditions, in an office or lab environment. Candidate must be able to lift 40 - 50 pounds and walk or stand for extended periods of time.
Qualifications:
• WVDOH, Nuclear Density Gauge & ACI Certifications as well as WVTRET Enrollment are Highly Desired. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Strong organization, computer and time management skills. • The ability to travel and work overtime when needed • A High School Diploma, or its equivalent, is required. Post high school education is a plus
